Designer Spotlight - Farrah B Jewelry

Even though Gypsies have wanderlust, our roots and hearts are in Texas. We are so honored to work with creative Texas natives like Farrah Brothers, from Farrah B Jewelry. Farrah's childhood hobby of collecting and loving old things has grown into a very unique line of eclectic boho jewelry. When paired with natural stones and gems, seemingly random objects (keys, coins, arrowheads and old pocket knives) are given fresh starts as one of a kind, wearable treasures.

Farrah has a newborn at home, but she took a little break from her new mom duties to share more with us about her design choices and inspirations.

Where do you call home?

I live in Austin and love it here, but Dallas will always be home.

How was Farrah B Jewelry born?

Farrah B Jewelry was born out of my passion for giving new life to antique and vintage findings. I started creating unique pieces for myself and it took off from there.

How would you describe your design style?

Eclectic, boho chic

Where do you find inspiration?

Anywhere I can find vintage treasures--flea markets, antique shops.

What are you working on right now that you are most excited about?

A new collection that mixes vintage-y jewels, coins and crystals, and lots of one-of-a-kind pieces.

What is something most people don't know about you?

This is random but. I'm deathly afraid of cockroaches.

What song will be your soundtrack for spring?

I have a 2 month old baby girl, so I'll be jamming to a lot of lullabies this spring.  I also love old-school country--Patsy Cline Pandora station is my go-to lately.

Describe your perfect day.

Perusing a farmers market or festival with my family on a sunny day...or creating in my studio.

Farrah will be bringing her cool collection to a special trunk show this weekend at The Gypsy Wagon's South Congress location in Austin. Stop by to choose your own handmade, one-of-a-kind piece.
