South Congress Avenue has been blessing us with good vibes for two rad years now, and we are ready to celebrate with all our friends! We have happenings going on all weekend long. MOODXMOSS will be in store Friday (2p-7p) & Saturday (12p-7p) with their aura photo booth yurt and Hayley Cakes will be in store selling her Austin-famous cookies & treats. We will also be serving up cosmic cocktails all weekend...How could you miss it?
At The Wagon, Hayley Cakes comes up in conversation at least once a day! We are obsessed with her Instagram. There is a new, quirky, Austin vibin' cookie posted everyday. Whether it is a whimsical unicorn, silly pineapple, a hamburger, or an inspirational saying.... We are into it! Plus, these cookies are delicious.
Get to know Carrie Moss from MOODXMOSS better below.
1) How did you get in the business of aura photography?
What drew me to aura portraiture is that is is the perfect blending of my 15+ years as a photographer and my spiritual belief system. For me, it is like two worlds colliding.
2) What inspires you?
Connecting with people is my number one inspiration! Also, beautiful light, cooking, long drives, oh and Barton Springs. Yes, a swimming hole actually inspires me and restores my spirit.
3) What has surprised you most since starting MOODXMOSS?
I think what surprises me most since starting MOODxMOSS is the fact that people are really curious about the notion that we are more than our physical bodies. I love that using the bio-feedback technology of the AuraCam allows tangible evidence in a photograph that this is so. Also, people often ask me what colors I see the most and it really is different every time I shoot a portrait. It is like magic every time I peel the Poloroid and reveal the energetic coloration.
4) What is your favorite thing about aura photography?
I often joke around that I have the best job in the world because nobody steps into the MOOD yurt in a bad mood. Everyone is excited for the experience and to see what their energetic field looks like. It is a special moment and I get to share that.
5) What are your dreams for MOODXMOSS?
You know that is a really good questions. MOODxMOSS has been really well received and things are off to a great start. I am planning on taking time in December to chart the course for MOOD in 2017. I have a lot of ideas that need to be flushed out, written down, culled through and manifested. I am the kind of person that is constantly thinking of the next step (while trying to stay in the present) so we will just have to see!
See you there, gypsies!
